I have used Bice's for a several years to send my Mother flowers for different occasions - this was the first year I've seen a picture of the arrangement, which I didn't love because I saw a lot of extra greens and carnations which I consider as fillers and honestly it just wasnt' as pretty and vibrant as the picture on the website - and I do understand substitutions have to be made during busy holidays. I asked my mother for an honest assessment of the flowers, she said they were fine but seemed limp already - they were delivered Friday before Easter - I ordered them at least a week in advance. I called Bices for the first time ever to express my disappointment, I had few conversations with employees who were friendly and understanding, and then the manager got on, and after saying TWICE that i bought the cheapest arrangement possible (so basically only those who buy expensive arrangements should expect beautiful flowers!!…that's what I'm getting out of that comment), they would replace (very generous) the flowers if my mother would put them outside on her porch. Unfortunately my mother is 88 and not always able to be reasonable or rationale, she didn't want to pick them up and put them outside and didn't want new flowers. That is their policy - and quite honestly that makes sense. But, exceptions can be made, in every company. But I don't need my money back. I just want the manager to realize her comment was inherently rude and not very smart -YOUR FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS SHOULD BE BEAUTIFUL WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE THE CHEAPEST OR THE MOST EXPENSE.
